Ham, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Bagel
If there is one breakfast bagel recipe you need, it’s this one! My husband devoured his in under two minutes and repeatedly said my creation tasted “better than the one we get from that one bagel place.” Now, I can’t guarantee this recipe will taste better than your favorite bagel shop, but I can guarantee it will give it a run for its money!
Ham, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Bagel
Servings: 2 | Total Cook Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
2 bagels (I love sesame seed, my hubby loves jalapeño cheddar)
2 tbsp plain whipped cream cheese
2 slices havarti cheese
1/2 avocado
4 slices deli ham
2 eggs
Avocado oil spray
Side of fruit (berries, apple, banana, melon, etc)
Instructions:
Heat a nonstick pan on medium to low heat and spray with avocado oil spray
Once the pan is hot, crack both eggs into the pan and fry for 4-5 minutes on one side, flip, and then fry for another 2 minutes, then remove eggs from the pan
Place deli ham in the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, just to warm the ham. Then remove from the pan and set aside with the eggs.
Toast the bagels in a toaster and then add to separate plates
To the bagel bottoms, add a slice of cheese, then a fried egg, then two slices of ham, and 1/4 avocado (sliced)
To the bagel tops, spread on 1 tbsp cream cheese and then place the bagel top on top of the avocado to complete the bagel sandwich
Serve with fruit and enjoy
