The Best Ever Beef & Broccoli

When I say this recipe is the BEST EVER, I truly mean it. The ginger and garlic make the sauce so flavorful, I guarantee this meal will be a favorite in your home too! So get your pen and paper ready because you’re gonna want to write down these ingredients!

Servings: 4 | Total Cook Time: 40 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 lbs flank steak

  • 2 heads broccoli

  • 1/2 white onion

  • 3 tbsp cornstarch

  • 2 tbsp water

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 cup coconut aminos

  • 3 tbsp coconut sugar

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 2 tsp chopped ginger

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Chop onion, garlic and ginger and set aside

  2. Cut broccoli into small florets, and cut steak into thin 1 inch slices

  3. In a bowl, mix 2 tbsp cornstarch and 2 tbsp water and then add your sliced steak. Coat evenly and set aside.

  4. In a small bowl, whisk together remaining 1 tbsp cornstarch, coconut aminos, coconut sugar, garlic, and ginger.

  5. Add olive oil to a hot pan and add coated steak strips. Flip after 2 minutes and cook until almost cooked through.

  6. Remove steak from pan, add more olive oil to pan, and add broccoli florets and onion. Cook until soft.

  7. Once veggies are soft, add beef back into the pan with the veggies, and pour the coconut amino/ginger sauce over the top. Bring to a boil and allow the sauce to thicken.

  8. Serve the mixture over white rice or by itself.

Helpful Tips:

  • To make this recipe vegetarian, you could absolutely replace the beef for tofu!

  • If you prefer soy sauce, over coconut aminos, definitely use soy sauce!

  • I use coconut sugar for this recipe, but you could absolutely use regular sugar if you have that in your cupboard.
