In a small saucepan, add the honey, sugar, water, salt, and cinnamon sticks. Set the vanilla extract and ground cinnamon aside.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir until the sugar fully dissolves.
Allow the syrup to lightly simmer for 10 minutes. (Avoid a rolling boil, you just want the flavors to infuse.)
Strain the syrup into a jar or bottle. Stir in the vanilla extract and the ground cinnamon.
Let cool completely before refrigerating.
