Ingredients

Filling Ingredients

  • 5 fresh peaches sliced and pitted
  • 29 oz can canned peaches in juice, not syrup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter cubed

Topping Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup crushed walnuts
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
  • In a large baking dish, combine sliced fresh peaches, canned peaches (drained), brown sugar, and 2 tbsp of cinnamon and mix well.
  • Cut 1/4 cup butter into small cubes and place evenly on top of peaches mixture.
  • In a separate large bowl, combine topping ingredients:melted butter, flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, salt and walnuts and mix well.
  • Sprinkle topping mixture evenly over the peaches and butter cubes and then bake for 35-40 minutes at 375 or until the topping is slightly browned.
  • Remove baking dish from the oven, let the cobbler cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or by itself.
