Blackberry Mojito Mocktail

I recently learned how to make Homemade Blackberry Syrup, and let me tell you, it’s my favorite thing ever! I’ve been adding the syrup to all sorts of different beverages like dirty sodas, lemonades, sparkling waters, and this fabulous Blackberry Mojito Mocktail. It’s sweet and tart with hints of mint, and it’s a perfect beverage to make before dinner, or for a friends and family get together.

Let’s dive into the ingredients you’ll need to make this simple and delicious drink at home.

Ingredients You’ll Need

For full measurements of each ingredient, please see the recipe card at the bottom of the recipe.

Blackberry Syrup: I have a delicious and simple 4-ingredient Homemade Blackberry Syrup that is perfect in this recipe! If you prefer a store bought version, I recommend the Torani Blackberry Syrup!

Blackberry Compote: If you opt for the Homemade Blackberry Syrup option, you will have leftover blackberry compote when you strain the syrup mixture. This drink recipe is a perfect way to use up that extra blackberry compote so it doesn’t go to waste (I also love it on top of french toast, in a yogurt parfait, or on top of vanilla ice cream)! If you are going the store bought syrup route, you could just muddle a few fresh or frozen blackberries instead of using a blackberry compote.

Ice: This is a chilled beverage, so we need ice! One way to make this drink extra fun is to make blackberry mint ice cubes! Simply add a mint leaf and a fresh or frozen blackberry into each ice cube mold, and then top with water and freeze overnight!

True Lime or Lime Juice: You can’t have a mojito flavored beverage without the lime! I personally love using True Lime packets in my drinks because you don’t need to slice up a lime wedge to get the same tart lime juice flavor. True Lime is just crystallized lime with no added sugar, and you can add it to any drink you like! Each packet is the same flavor and tartness as one lime wedge so you can use True Lime or freshly squeezed lime juice in your at home Blackberry Mojito Mocktail.

La Croix Mojito Sparkling Water: If you’ve never tried this flavor of La Croix, you have to! It has such a pleasant minty lime flavor and gives the drink the most refreshing taste. I also really like the Spindrift Nojito Sparkling Water in this recipe, I just prefer the La Croix Mojito a tad bit more. If you can’t find either option, simply use a plain or lime flavored sparkling water.

Fresh Mint: This is completely optional, but a sprig of fresh mint really ties the drink together nicely while also giving an extra minty mojito touch.

Now that we have all the ingredients, let’s jump into the recipe.

What is a Mocktail?

A mocktail is a beverage that resembles the same fun and flair as a cocktail beverage, but without the alcohol. Mocktails are alcohol free drinks that are great for kids, soon to be moms, or anyone looking for a fun and fancy drink without the alcohol.
