5 Dutch Bros Drinks You Can Make at Home (for beginners)

If you love Dutch Bros but don’t love spending $6–$8 every time you want a drink…this one’s for you ☕️

These are 5 popular Dutch Bros drinks that you can easily make at home using simple grocery store ingredients—no fancy espresso machine, no special equipment, no barista skills required.

Once you see how simple these are, you might not go back!

Why Make Dutch Bros Drinks at Home?

I’m all about making coffee at home in a way that actually feels simple and doable, and these recipes are exactly that.

  • No expensive equipment needed
  • Uses ingredients you can find at any grocery store
  • Way more affordable than buying out
  • Fully customizable to your taste

Whether you’re brand new to at-home coffee or just want to save money, these are a great place to start.

1. Golden Eagle (Caramel Vanilla Breve)

This is one of the most iconic Dutch Bros drinks, and it’s so easy to recreate.

What you’ll need:

  • ½ – 1 ounce vanilla syrup (adjust to taste)
  • ½ – 1 ounce caramel sauce (adjust to taste), plus more for drizzling
  • 2 shots espresso
  • 6 ounces half & half
  • Ice

For the espresso shots:

  • Use Nespresso espresso pods if you have a Nespresso machine
  • OR combine 2 teaspoons of instant espresso powder + 2 ounces warm water and stir until the powder is dissolved

Add everything to a glass, stir, and top with an extra caramel sauce drizzle for that signature finish.

2. Golden Eagle Chai

Same flavor combo, but with chai instead of espresso—and yes, you can make this at home just as easily.

What you’ll need:

  • ½ – 1 ounce vanilla syrup (adjust to taste)
  • ½ – 1 ounce caramel sauce (adjust to taste), plus more for drizzling
  • 4 ounces chai concentrate (Dutch Bros uses the Oregon Chai brand)
  • 4 ounces half & half
  • Ice

Add everything to a glass, stir, and top with an extra caramel sauce drizzle.

This one is creamy, spiced, and honestly such a good alternative if you’re not in the mood for coffee.

3. Protein Mocha

If you want something a little more filling (or just love a good chocolate coffee), this one is so good.

What you’ll need:

  • 2 shots espresso
  • 6-8 ounces chocolate protein milk or shake
  • Ice
  • Optional: whipped cream

For the espresso shots:

  • Use Nespresso espresso pods if you have a Nespresso machine
  • OR combine 2 teaspoons of instant espresso powder + 2 ounces warm water and stir until the powder is dissolved

Combine the espresso, chocolate protein shake, and ice for a super easy, high-protein mocha at home.

NOTE: You could also use a chocolate sauce + ultra filtered milk instead of a chocolate protein shake. Do 1-2 ounces of chocolate sauce, 2 shots of espresso, and 6-8 ounces of milk. Finish with ice and optional whipped cream.

4. Peach Green Tea

If you’re still buying flavored teas out, you’re going to love how simple this is.

What you’ll need:

  • 12 ounces unsweetened green tea
  • 1-2 ounces peach syrup (adjust to taste)

That’s it. Just mix and pour over ice.

You can swap peach for literally any flavor you want (raspberry, coconut, guava, etc) OR you can swap the green tea for black tea! This is one of the easiest ways to recreate Dutch Bros drinks at home.

5. Lavender White Chocolate Freeze

This is your at-home version of a Dutch “freeze”—blended, creamy, and oh so delish.

What you’ll need:

  • ½ – 1 ounce lavender syrup (or lavender extract)
  • ½ – 1 ounce white chocolate sauce
  • 2 teaspoons instant espresso powder
  • 6 ounces half & half
  • ¾ cup ice
  • ⅛ teaspoon xanthan gum (for that homogenous, creamy texture)

Blend everything together in a blender until smooth and you’ve got your own coffee shop-style blended drink at home.

You Don’t Need Fancy Equipment

One of the biggest misconceptions about making drinks like this at home is that you need a full coffee setup.

You really don’t.

For all of these, you can use:

  • Instant espresso (no machine needed)
  • Nespresso espresso pods and a Nespresso machine (you can find both at most grocery stores)
  • A basic blender
  • Simple grocery store syrups and sauces
  • Grocery store milks and creams

That’s it.
