Spooky S’mores Cold Brew

spooky smores cold brew with ghost face

Spooky season is among us, and this super cute Spooky S’mores Cold Brew is a perfect way to make your at home coffee fun and festive! You can make this drink using chocolate milk instead of cold brew for a caffeine free, friendly version!

What you’ll need:

Marshmallow Fluff or Marshmallow Creme – You can pick this up at any grocery store in the peanut butter and jelly aisle. You’ll need the marshmallow fluff/creme to make the adorable ghost shapes along the inside of the cup.

Black Sharpie or Black Permanent Marker – The marker is for coloring the ghost eyes and mouth on the outside of the cup. Make sure the marker is permanent so it doesn’t wipe off when you touch it.

Plastic Cup + Lids – I recommend buying disposable plastic cups for this recipe so you can draw the ghost faces on the cup without ruining your glass cups at home!

Torani Toasted Marshmallow Syrup – You could use any marshmallow or s’mores flavored syrup for this recipe, my favorite is the Torani Toasted Marshmallow. Torani syrups can be found at tons of places, although the flavor selection may vary based on where you go. Some of my favorite places to find Torani syrups are: Torani website (they have alllll the flavors), Amazon, US Foods Chef’s Store, Smart & Final, Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, World Market, and Walmart.com.

Cold Brew – Feel free to make your own cold brew at home. I have a video for this process HERE. I personally love the Stok Unsweet Bold Cold Brew for all my cold brew recipes. I like that the Stok cold brew is unsweetened, so when I add my Torani syrup flavors, the drinks isn’t overly sweet, and I can control the sugar level!

Heavy Whipping Cream – I like heavy cream for adding creaminess to cold brew drinks, but you can opt for half & half, milk, almond milk, oat milk or flavored creamer in this recipe. You can find heavy whipping cream at your grocery store in the milk aisle.

Ice: Always add lots of ice to your cold brew drinks so they stay chilled and refreshing with every sip.

Chocolate Sauce/Syrup – I like the Torani Dark Chocolate Sauce with any s’mores flavored recipes, but you can use any brand of chocolate sauce or syrup like Hershey’s, Ghirardelli, etc.

JavaSok Sleeve – If you are an iced coffee, iced tea, or a soda drinker, JavaSoks are going to be your best friend! They are cute little sleeves that go around your cup to keep your drink colder longer, and to keep the condensation inside the JavaSok and off your desk/out of your car cup holder! I use one every single day, and I HIGHLY recommend looking into them because their designs are super fun! You can click here for 20% off your JavaSok order!!

How to Make Cold Brew at Home:

If you prefer to make your own cold brew at home, this is the process I recommend:

  • Add 1 1/2 cups medium roast coffee grounds to a French Press.
  • Add 3 cups room temperature water to the French press and gently stir to saturate the grounds.
  • Place the plunger on top of the French Press to cover, but don’t plunge down.
  • Set the French Press on the counter and let brew for 18 hours.
  • After 18 hours, plunge down and pour the cold brew concentrate into a mason jar or a pitcher with a lid.
  • This is a concentrate, so I like to do 1 part concentrate to 2 parts cold water (1/2 cup concentrate to 1 cup cold water, or 1 cup concentrate to 2 cups cold water)
  • Then add your choice of syrups/sweeteners, milk/cream, and ice!

  3. To the cup, add the toasted marshmallow syrup, cold brew, and heavy cream then mix with a spoon.

How to Make a Lower Sugar Version

Some ways to lower the overall sugar in this drink:

How to Make this Dairy Free

  • Simply swap the heavy cream for your favorite nondairy alternative: dairy free heavy cream, dairy free half and half, oat milk, soy milk, almond milk, etc
  • Nutpods has a Toasted Marshmallow Creamer that is dairy free and delicious, so you could try that as well.
