Horchata Cream Cold Brew

Coffee lovers, get ready to meet your new favorite drink. Inspired by traditional Mexican horchata, this Horchata Cream Cold Brew is rich, sweet, and full of cozy cinnamon flavor—perfect for anyone who loves a cold brew that feels both refreshing and indulgent.

Starbucks recently launched their own horchata syrup, and while it’s undeniably tasty, this version lets you recreate those same warm, nostalgic flavors right at home. Plus, you can adjust the sweetness, the creaminess, and the intensity of the cinnamon to your own taste. It’s budget-friendly, completely customizable, and honestly better than most coffee shop drinks.

Ingredients You’ll Need

For the Cold Brew Base:

  • 1-2 tablespoons Homemade Horchata Syrup (Adjust to your preferred sweetness level)
  • 10 ounces unsweetened black cold brew (Store-bought or homemade)

For the Horchata Cold Foam:

How to Make It

Step 1: Make the Horchata Cold Foam
In a small glass, combine:

  • 1 tablespoon horchata syrup
  • 2 tablespoons 2% milk
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream

Use a handheld milk frother to froth until thick and creamy. This should take about 15–30 seconds.

Step 2: Build Your Drink
Grab a glass and pour in:

  • horchata syrup
  • unsweetened black cold brew
  • Ice (leave room on top for the cold foam)

Give it a quick stir to mix the syrup into the cold brew.

Step 3: Top with Cold Foam & Cinnamon
Gently pour the horchata cold foam over your cold brew. Finish with a light sprinkle of ground cinnamon on top.
