Espresso: Since this is an espresso martini, you need espresso. See my 5 Ways to Make Espresso at Home blog post for all the different ways you can make espresso at home. It doesn’t matter which method you choose, simply follow the espresso making steps to get your espresso shots, and then use that to make your own Espresso Martini Mocktail.

Heavy Cream: I love using heavy cream in this recipe for an extra creamy and rich texture. The heavy cream gives the martini mocktail an extra layer of sweetness, making it a perfect addition.

Homemade Brown Sugar Syrup: Most espresso martini recipes call for a simple syrup to sweeten the drink, but I wanted to take it a step further and add some extra pizzaz. My Homemade Brown Sugar Syrup adds the perfect amount of sweetness to the drink, and elevates it with its molasses flavor. If you don’t want to make the Homemade Brown Sugar Syrup, you could add a tablespoon of regular brown sugar, or use a simple syrup or vanilla syrup instead.

Flaky Sea SaltYou know I love adding a generous pinch of salt to many of my recipes to bring out the sweetness of the drink. The salt will not make your mocktail taste salty, it just makes the drink taste sweeter and more flavorful.

Ice Cubes: Espresso martini mocktails are chilled beverages, so you need ice to chill the drink. We’ll be using hot espresso straight from the machine, so to cool the espresso down instantly, you’ll need ice cubes.

Coffee Beans: This ingredient is optional, and used just for garnishing the mocktail. Feel free to skip the coffee beans if you prefer.

How To Make an Espresso Martini Mocktail:

  • Brew your espresso shots using your preferred espresso making method. See my 5 Ways To Make Espresso blog post for all the ways to make espresso at home.
  • To a cocktail shaker cup, add espresso shots, heavy cream, Homemade Brown Sugar Syrup, salt, and ice.
  • Add the lid and shake the mixture for a full 60 seconds. This creates a thick and creamy layer in the mocktail.
  • Pour the Espresso Martini Mocktail into a martini glass.
  • Carefully garnish with three coffee beans and enjoy!

What is a Mocktail?

A mocktail is a beverage that resembles the same fun and flair as a cocktail beverage, but without the alcohol. Mocktails are alcohol free drinks that are great for new moms, soon to be moms, or anyone looking for a fun and fancy drink without the alcohol.
