With this Homemade Peppermint Mocha Creamer, you can bring that same seasonal flavor straight to your kitchen all year long.

This recipe is made with just seven simple ingredients, blends up in minutes, and keeps for up to two weeks in the fridge. Perfect for adding a touch of chocolate-mint goodness to your morning, afternoon, or evening coffee.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • 7 simple ingredients – no fillers or complicated steps.
  • Budget-friendly – enjoy peppermint mocha flavor without coffee shop prices.
  • Customizable – adjust the peppermint extract for more or less minty flavor.
  • Make-ahead – stores well so you’ll always have creamer ready to go.
  • Makes a great gift – Whip up a batch to bring to holiday parties and get togethers.

Ingredients

  • 14 ounces half & half
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (or cacao powder)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
  • ¼ teaspoon instant espresso/coffee powder (like Nescafe, Starbucks, or Cafe Bustelo)- You only need a small amount and I promise you don’t taste any coffee, it just enhances the chocolatey flavor! Pro tip: use a decaf instant espresso option!
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Blend everything together
    • Add half & half, sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, peppermint extract, instant espresso/coffee powder, and salt to a blender.
    • Blend until smooth and fully combined.
  2. Store & serve
    • Pour into a mason jar or airtight container.
    • Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Shake before each use.
  3. Enjoy
    • Add a splash to hot or iced coffee for a delicious peppermint mocha flavor at home.

Tips & Variations

  • Dairy-free option: Swap the half & half for dairy free half & half, oat milk or coconut milk, and use a dairy-free sweetened condensed milk (coconut or oat).
  • Sugar-free option: Swap the sweetened condensed milk for a sugar free sweetened condensed milk or use your favorite sugar free sweetener to taste.
  • Extra chocolatey: Add an extra tablespoon or two of cocoa powder for a richer mocha flavor.
  • Holiday touch: Top your coffee with whipped cream and crushed candy canes for a café-style treat.
  • Make it a Peppermint White Mocha Creamer: omit the cocoa powder and instant espresso/coffee for a white mocha creamer instead of mocha!

With this Homemade Peppermint Mocha Creamer, your coffee will instantly feel like a holiday indulgence — no matter the season. Quick, simple, and oh-so festive.

Bring holiday cheer to your morning coffee with this easy Homemade Peppermint Mocha Creamer. Made with just five ingredients, it’s the perfect way to enjoy cozy peppermint-chocolate flavor all year long.

do you think this could be made with peppermint syrup instead of peppermint extract?

    1. katerinafaith Avatar

Hi Erin, yes you can use syrup instead of extract, just know syrup is much less pepperminty flavored and it’s more sweetened compared to an extract so you will need to add a small amount, and adjust the sweetened condensed milk as needed!
