Homemade Pumpkin Spice Creamer

There’s something about pumpkin season that makes every cup of coffee feel like a treat. Instead of grabbing store-bought pumpkin creamers that are often loaded with extra ingredients, you can make your own at home in just minutes. This Homemade Pumpkin Creamer is smooth, flavorful, and filled with warm fall spices.

The best part? Making your own creamer means you’re in control. You can adjust the sweetness, swap in plant-based options to make it dairy-free, or use a sugar free condensed milk option if you’re keeping things on the lower-sugar side. It’s simple, customizable, and perfect for cozy mornings at home.

Homemade Pumpkin Creamer Recipe

Ingredients

  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 14 ounces half & half (1 ¾ cups)
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice, adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Blend Everything Together
    • Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Strain for Extra Smoothness
    • Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a mason jar or airtight container.
  3. Store & Enjoy
    • Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks. Shake well before each use.

Make It Your Own

  • Dairy-Free Option: Swap the half & half for dairy free half & half (I like the nutpods brand the best), oat milk or almond milk creamer, and use sweetened condensed coconut milk instead of regular.
  • Lower Sugar: Use a no sugar added condensed milk substitute or cut the sweetened condensed milk in half.
  • Extra Spiced: Add a pinch more pumpkin pie spice or even a touch of cinnamon for extra warmth.

Ways to Use Pumpkin Spice Creamer

  • Stir into hot or iced coffee for instant fall flavor.
  • Froth it up for a rich and creamy pumpkin breve (or blondie) at home.
  • Pour over chai tea for a cozy pumpkin chai.
  • Use a splash in hot cocoa for a pumpkin pie twist.

This creamer is proof that at-home coffee can be just as delicious—if not better—than anything you’d buy at the store. With a batch of this in the fridge, your morning cup instantly becomes a cozy, fall-inspired ritual.

Has anyone had this turn into a jelly/marshmallow consistency after a few days? I’ve made it twice and after 3-4 it congeals and becomes unusable because it won’t mix at that point. The dairy isn’t bad, so I’m not sure what the problem is.

Hi Nicole, I’m sorry yours is turning into a strange texture. I’ve never had that happen to me and I haven’t heard this happening to others either but it could maybe be the half & half product you’re using? If there’s any gums in it, that could be why yours is turning into a funky texture. As the recipe is, with regular half & half, the creamer will stay the same smooth creamer texture throughout the entire two weeks in the fridge 🙂

This is SO GOOD! You know how you always imagine a PSL creamer to taste but then they never live up to it? This one lives up to it! Way better than the store bought stuff. The only thing I did different was add in a *tiny* bit more spice and some maple extract for extra fall vibes.

GAHHH YAYYY FRIEND!!! So so so happy to hear you love this recipe! I totally know what you mean about that specific PSL creamer taste and I really do think this recipe lives up to that hype 😉 I love the idea of adding maple extract, such a great addition, I’ll have to try!
