Homemade Strawberry Mocha Creamer

If you love a chocolate and strawberry moment but also want your morning coffee to feel a little extra special, this Homemade Strawberry Mocha Creamer is going to become a new favorite. It’s rich, creamy, lightly chocolatey, and has that sweet strawberry finish that feels like dessert, but is made right at home in your blender with simple ingredients.

Why You’ll Love This Creamer

  • Made in a blender — no stovetop required
  • Smooth and creamy (no fruit texture or separation)
  • Delicious in hot and iced coffee
  • Perfect for Valentine’s Day, spring, or whenever you want something fun
  • Tastes like chocolate-covered strawberries but in coffee form

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • 14 ounces half & half
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½-1 teaspoon strawberry extract
  • ¼ teaspoon instant coffee powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring spoons
  • Mason jar or airtight bottle for storage

How to Make Homemade Strawberry Mocha Creamer

  1. Add ingredients to blender
Add the half & half, sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, strawberry extract, instant coffee powder, and salt to a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth
Blend for about 20–30 seconds, or until the cocoa powder is fully incorporated and the mixture looks smooth and creamy.
  3. Taste and adjust
Give it a quick taste. If you want a stronger strawberry flavor, add a tiny splash more extract (start small — it’s powerful!).
  4. Store
Pour the creamer into a mason jar or airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks or until the best by date on your half & half. Shake well before each use.

How to Use It

Add 2–4 tablespoons (or however much your heart desires) to:

  • Hot coffee
  • Iced coffee
  • Cold brew
  • Espresso drinks
  • Mocha lattes

This creamer is especially good in a simple iced coffee — it gives that creamy chocolate-strawberry flavor without needing extra syrups.

Tips & Variations

Adjust the chocolate level

Want it more decadent? Add an extra tablespoon of cocoa powder for a richer mocha flavor.

Make it extra dessert-like

Top your coffee with whipped cream and chocolate shavings for full chocolate-covered strawberry energy.

Lower sugar variation

Use a no sugar added sweetened condensed milk alternative and adjust sweetness to taste.

Dairy-free option

Use a dairy-free half & half alternative (like Nutpods or Silk) and a dairy-free sweetened condensed milk substitute like:

Storage Tips

  • Store covered in the fridge.
  • Best used within 10–14 days.
  • Shake well before each use — natural separation is normal.

FAQ

Does this work in hot coffee?

Yes! Because we’re using strawberry extract instead of fresh fruit, this creamer stays smooth and creamy even in hot coffee.

Can I use fresh strawberries instead?

Fresh strawberries can cause separation or curdling in hot coffee so using extract keeps the texture stable and coffee-friendly. If you don’t mind the curdling, simply add 1 cup fresh strawberries (washed with stems and leaves removed) to the blender with the other ingredients but omit the strawberry extract. Blend until smooth and then strain before adding to a mason jar or airtight container.

Wow this one is so good. Even though I feel like I say that for all your recipes that I make. I saw your short video for this and immediately bought the items to make it today. So excited to add this to my coffee for the next couple of weeks.
My store was out of half and half so I used whipping cream instead. After blending it was pretty thick but wow so good!
Keep up the great work! You’re so awesome!

Thank you so much for trying this recipe and sharing your feedback friend! I hope all your coffees are delicious and fabulous! Note for next time, if it’s too thick with heavy cream, you can always thin it out with some milk! Just in case they’re out of half & half again 😉
