How to Make Cold Brew at Home:

If you prefer to make your own cold brew at home, this is the process I recommend:

  • Add 1 1/2 cups medium roast coffee grounds to a French Press.
  • Add 3 cups room temperature water to the French press and gently stir to saturate the grounds.
  • Place the plunger on top of the French Press to cover, but don’t plunge down.
  • Set the French Press on the counter and let brew for 18 hours.
  • After 18 hours, plunge down and pour the cold brew concentrate into a mason jar or a pitcher with a lid.
  • This is a concentrate, so I like to do 1 part concentrate to 2 parts cold water (1/2 cup concentrate to 1 cup cold water, or 1 cup concentrate to 2 cups cold water)
  • Then add your syrups/sweeteners, milk/cream, ice and toppings!

What’s The Best Coffee For at Home Cold Brew?

My two favorite coffees for at home cold brew are:

How Can I Make This Drink Dairy Free?

To make this drink dairy free:

  • Swap the heavy cream for a dairy free heavy cream, dairy free half & half or your favorite plant based creamer/milk
  • Swap the whipped cream for a dairy free/plant based whipped topping

How Can I Make This Lower Sugar/Lower Calories?

Feel free to make as many modifications below for a lower sugar/lower calorie Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cold Brew:

How Can I Make This As a Latte?

Brew your espresso shots, then add the two syrups to a cup along with the espresso shots, milk, and ice. Top with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice.

Note for a hot latte, use steamed milk instead of cold milk, and then don’t add ice!

How Can I Make This As an Iced Coffee?

The recipe is exactly the same as the cold brew recipe, simply swap the cold brew for iced coffee! See my super simple method for How To Make Iced Coffee At Home!

How Can I Make This With a Keurig?

Keurig coffee is a different type of coffee than cold brew. Keurig coffee falls under the umbrella of brewed coffee or drip coffee where you pour hot water over grounds, and you let gravity extract flavor from the saturated coffee grounds, that drip and collect into your cup. The end result is an aromatic, high acidity coffee, low concentration coffee.

Cold brew is made by steeping grounds and cold water (or room temp water) together for a long period of time (18 hours), to achieve a much less acidic, much stronger, smoother, and bolder tasting coffee product than brewed coffee.

So, with that being said, here’s how you can use a Keurig to make a different type of coffee, but still a delicious and enjoyable Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Coffee:

Brew your favorite kpod (I recommend 10-12 ounces) and then add 1/2 -1 tablespoon of each: Torani Pumpkin Pie Syrup and Torani Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Syrup. Add 2 tablespoons of heavy cream or half & half, whichever you prefer. Then, top with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice! Enjoy this drink hot or add ice before adding the toppings for an iced coffee version!

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cold Brew Ingredients:

Instructions:

Combine Your Flavors: Start by adding the Torani Pumpkin Pie Syrup to a glass along with the Torani Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Syrup.

Add the Cold Brew and Cream: Pour in your favorite cold brew coffee into the glass and add the heavy cream.

Add ice and Mix: Fill the cup up with ice, and stir until well combined and chilled.

Garnish and Enjoy! Top with a generous dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, and enjoy your Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cold Brew!

What’s The Difference Between the Torani Pumpkin Flavors?

Torani has a few different pumpkin products in their “Pumpkin Flavor Family”:

Pumpkin Pie Syrup– very sweet, not so much spice tasting

Pumpkin Spice Syrup – much more spice forward with notes of pumpkin

Pumpkin Pie Sauce – tastes like sweet liquid pumpkin pie, very spice forward

Genuinely, I feel like all are fabulous and you can’t go wrong with any of them! Feel free to use the interchangeably in this recipe!
