How To Make Blonde Espresso?
The term “blonde” in a coffee sense means light roast. This simply means the coffee beans used to make the espresso are a light roast coffee.

What’s The Difference Between a Shaken Espresso and a Latte?
A shaken espresso and a latte are very similar drinks that use the same ingredients, but have a couple differences. At Starbucks, the iced lattes get one less espresso shot for each sized drink. So for a tall, grande, and venti latte, the espresso amounts are 1 shot, 2 shots, and 3 shots. This is different from the shaken espresso drinks that have 2 shots, 3 shots, and 4 shots. With more shots of espresso per drink, that means the coffees have less milk, and as a result, a stronger coffee taste.

Another difference between a latte and a shaken espresso is that the shaken espresso drinks are made by shaking the syrup, espresso, and ice in a shaker cup before they are poured into a cup and topped with milk. This shaking process gives the drink a more airy, foamy texture, and ensures the coffee is completely chilled throughout. With a latte, all the ingredients are poured directly into a cup, layered one on top of the other so the drink is often warmer on the bottom where the ice doesn’t touch, and you have to stir or mix the drink yourself to chill the entire latte.
These are subtle difference but are great to know so you can opt for your favorite option as you make your own coffees at home!
What Ratios Does Starbucks Follow For This Drink?

| BLONDE ESPRESSO | 2 SHOTS | 3 SHOTS | 4 SHOTS |

How Can I Make This Lower Sugar?
For a lower sugar Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso:
- Make your own Homemade Apple Brown Sugar Syrup using a sugar free brown sugar substitute.
- Use the Torani Sugar Free Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup and the Torani Sugar Free Green Apple Syrup.

- Use less pumps/tablespoons of the Apple Brown Sugar Syrup when you make the drink yourself.
Can I Make This as a Hot Coffee?
Absolutely! Just make a hot latte by combining the Apple Brown Sugar Syrup, espresso and steamed oat milk in a mug!
How Would I Make This as a Cold Brew or Iced Coffee?

- 1-2 tablespoons Apple Brown Sugar Syrup
- 12 ounces cold brew OR iced coffee
- Ice cubes
- 2-3 tablespoons oat milk/half & half/heavy cream
How Would I Make This as a Frappuccino?
Add the following to a blender:
- 8 ounces oat milk
- 1-2 tablespoons Apple Brown Sugar Syrup
- 1/8 teaspoon xanthan gum
- 1-2 teaspoons instant coffee
- 1 1/4 cup ice
- Whipped cream, for topping
- Ground cinnamon, for topping
Blend the ingredients together until smooth, then add to a cup and top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
How Can I Make This Using A Keurig?
- If you’re using the shot option on your Keurig, brew 4 ounces of coffee into a cup, then add 1-2 tablespoons Apple Brown Sugar Syrup and a generous amount of ice.
- Add a lid to the cup and shake until cold, then top with 4 ounces of oat milk.
